Beaufort completes second student accommodation development deal with Torsion Group

Beaufort is delighted to announce the completion of a second development facility with Torsion Group, for the development of a student accommodation property in Coventry.

The development will consist of 210 student cluster beds, arranged between 4 and 9 beds per cluster. Amenities will include a gym, cinema room, bicycle storage centred around a striking rotunda structure. The development is forecast to be complete in time for the start of the 2020 academic year.

The site is well located in an established residential area and it has access to the full range of services and facilities and is situated within easy reach of the nearby Warwick University campus.

Torsion is a multiple award-winning development and construction company, specialising in the student accommodation, care-to-residential and housing sectors. Torsion was recently named one of the 50 fastest growing companies in Yorkshire at the 2019 Ward Haddaway Fastest 50 awards.

Beaufort is currently supporting Torsion’s development of a 220-bed student accommodation development in Sheffield, which will be complete in time for the 2019 academic year.

Mark Quigley, Managing Director at Beaufort Capital, said, “Building long-term sustainable relationships is of particular importance to Beaufort.

“Having reached financial close on a previous student accommodation transaction with Torsion at the beginning of this year, we are delighted to have already signed a subsequent deal for another scheme – this one for students of the University of Warwick; a top-ten Russell Group university”.
